The EndingPerhaps one of the best known and most creative endings in Bleach, Houkiboshi isn't just one ending- it's thirteen. Even though they follow the same format, there is a different ending for each episode from 26 to 38 featuring a different division of Bleach. Each ending follows this basic format: a white screen with coloured blocks for each of the captains that scroll, a picture or dynamic scene of Ichi-tachi (Ichigo, Ishida, Sado, Orihime, Ganjuu (sometimes) and Yoruichi (cat form)), a scene with various images of the captain, a scene with various images of the vice captain, several images of them either interacting with others, themselves or alone, and ending with a scene of the captain and vice-captain in front of a wall with their division number. There are, of course, variations on this, but the majority follow that format. Notable variations include the lack of a Vice-Captain in thirteenth division, lack of Captain/Vice-Captain interactions in second and tenth and the appearance of old captains in second and twelfth. My ReviewI love these endings. They reveal so much about the series and the divisions, and I really admire how they actually had the courage to make 13 different endings! They're gorgeous, creative and some are shocking (like wtfbbqkisuke?!). I love how they all follow the same format but are still notably different. |
